We understand there is already a great deal to think about before, during and after someone dies. Choosing a memorial can feel like another difficult decision at an overwhelming time, and we are here to help guide you through it gently.

We offer two options - either a QR Memorial connected to an online Memory Grove page that you can populate with your own stories, photos, videos and memories, or our Sapling Memorial Set which combines the tree sapling of your choice, a plaque engraved with the details of your choice, a full care kit for your sapling (including an exclusive unifying mix for those planting ashes with their saplings), and 5 QR Memorial plaques all pointing to the online Memory Grove that you can populate with your own stories, photos, videos and memories.

Yes - on each product page you will find options to choose who this is for. Every detail can be personalised and items can be sent directly to the gift recipient, including the links to set up the digital Memory Grove after purchase.

Some families choose Grey Blossom shortly after a death. Others plan ahead. There is no right timing. Remembrance does not follow a schedule.

Some customers may have been bereaved recently, other may wish to commemorate someone who has been gone for many years. Others may simply be thinking ahead about the legacy they want to leave behind.

Grey Blossom is designed to help you at any stage, and adapt to both your circumstance and the space in which you wish to create a memorial that's right for you.

Each tree carries its own character and symbolism. It is important to consider your garden size, soil type, climate and the feeling you would like the tree to evoke. See our TREE GUIDE BLOG for more details on what trees work best, where.

If you are planting a memorial tree without ashes then we recommend using our starting mix formula to ensure that your sapling gets all the nutrients that it needs to thrive in its new environment. 

Each sapling type prefers different types of environments, so please choose an appropriate sapling for the location that you have in mind (link to how to choose a tree). If you are planting directly into the ground then please consider whether the soil is suitable, and if you are planting in a container then please use with good quality compost.

If you are planting a memorial tree with ashes then we strongly recommend using our Unifying Mix to ensure that your sapling gets all the nutrients that it needs to thrive in its new environment. Ashes can disrupt the pH balance of the soil or compost that you are planting in and the Unifying Mix helps to rebalance this.

Each sapling type requires different types of environments so please choose the sapling right for the location that you have in mind. If you are planting directly into the ground then ensure that you have checked the soil type, and if you are planting in a container then ensure you choose the correct compost type.

In the UK, cremated remains are generally safe to keep or scatter on private land with permission. If you are planting your ashes with any form of plant life you will need to include our Unifying Mix to help you balance the pH level of the soil. If you are scattering ashes over a wider area and not directly in with a sapling then this can be surface scattered instead.

If you are unsure about your circumstances or location, we recommend seeking local guidance if it is not your privately owned land or garden.

In the UK may plant in your own garden, on a balcony, in a large container, or in another permitted private space. If you are renting, we suggest speaking with the property owner, in line with your tenancy agreement.

In order to ensure that the tree can thrive for many years to come we advise that you consider whether the tree may need to move at any stage, in which case a large container may be best so that it can be moved if needed. It is also worth considering the size that the tree can grow to as it may need a much larger area as it matures.

Trees are living things and outcomes can vary depending on environment and care.  It is important to choose the right tree for the chosen location, and to ensure that you use the correct amount of our Unifying Mix in order to give the sapling everything that it needs to thrive.

If you have concerns before, during or after planting your tree please contact us and we will guide you as best we can.

Life changes happen and it may be that you have planted your sapling directly in your garden but choose to move at some point in the future. Choosing a tree that can stay in a pot for many years, e.g. Rowan, can help avoid this issue if it is something you are concerned about.

Depending on the age and size of the tree and how long it has been planted in the ground, it may be possible to move the tree yourself along with some of the surrounding soil. To ensure the best chance of moving this with you successfully we would advise that you seek advice from a professional who can guide you through timings, logistics and care instructions for before, during and after the move.

A QR Memorial is a small QR code plaque designed to connect a physical memorial object to a digital Memory Grove.

The standard plaques are 50 x 50mm in size and made from aluminium for durability. Our Sapling Memorial Sets include 4 additional QR Memorials in a wooden finish. These have a protective lacquer applied but may not be suited to harsh outdoor weather.

These QR codes are directed to a bespoke digital Memory Grove for you to populate with photos, videos, stories and memories that you can share with your family and friends/ HERE is a guide to our digital Memory Groves.

Included in the Sapling Memorial Set is a memorial plaque mounted on a wooden stake. On this memorial plaque you may include the name of the deceased, their date of birth and death (optional), and a short message, as per the fields on the product page.

There are also photo examples on each product page to help you see how they will look and inspire some wording if you are struggling to decide on what to say.

Each aluminium QR Memorial comes backed with a 3M adhesive patch so that you can apply it to a clean, dry surface wherever you choose. Wooden QR Memorials do not have any backing applied.

Please note that these are not to be applied to anything in public spaces without the appropriate permission.

You can choose whether the page is public (anyone visiting the GB site can view and contribute), private (only visible to appointed Keepers), Password protected (only visible to keepers and anyone with a password), or Invitation only (keepers, family member and people invited with a link)

The Guardian of the digital Memory Grove can amend this status at any time.

Yes - the aluminium QR Memorials are fully waterproof, and the wooden QR Memorials included with the Sapling Memorial Sets are oil treated so they can be used in outdoor environments.

Once you have placed your order we will email you a link to your Memory Grove template. You will need to log in to this and follow the step by step instructions to populate your Memory Grove. It doesn't all have to be finished in one go, you can come back as many times are you like to add unlimited content. Set up is very easy and can be done by anyone but as ever, if you need any help please don't hesitate to contact us and we can talk you through things.

Shipping for QR Memorials is £2.95, and shipping on our Sapling Memorial Sets is free of charge.

QR Memorials will be dispatched within 24 hours of placing your order and delivered using Royal Mail, on a 48 hour service.

Sapling Memorial Sets are made to order and require 3 to 5 days to complete to your specification. Once ready these will be dispatched using DPD on a 48 hour service.

As your account is assigned to the Memory Grove after purchase we cannot accept returns on any items, unless faulty.

A Memory Grove is a living space to remember, honour and celebrate someone you love. Whenever you wish, you can return to revisit their life, leave a message, look through photographs and videos, and stay connected with the family and friends who hold them close too.

Memories kept on a hard drive or tucked inside an album are easily lost. A digital Memory Grove brings them together in one place, where you, your family and your wider community can gather stories, share favourite moments, and carry your loved one's legacy forward for generations to come.

Your Account Settings is where you can manage:

• Your personal information
• Your email address
• Your password
• Your email notifications
• Deactivating your account

To open your Account Settings:

• Log in to your account
• You'll be taken to your Dashboard
• Click the Account Settings button

From there, you can review or update your personal information (your name, profile image, date of birth and more), change your login details, manage your email notifications, deactivate your account, and more.

Changing your account password is simple and can be done from your Dashboard. Just follow the steps below.

1. Log in to your account. You'll be taken to your Dashboard
2. On the Dashboard, click Account Settings
3. On the left, click Password. On the right, select Edit
4. Enter your current password, then your new one. To confirm the change, you'll be asked to type the new password a second time

If you've forgotten your account password, you can reset it easily using the Forgot Password feature.

1. Select Login
2. Select Forgot your password?
3. Enter the email address linked to your account
4. Click Send Reset Email.

We'll send you an email with instructions for resetting your password, so just follow the steps inside

We ask for a date of birth because account holders need to be 13 or older. If you'd prefer to keep yours private, here's how.

1. Log in to your account
2. From the Dashboard, select Account Settings
3. Next to your date of birth, select Edit
4. Click the drop down menu labelled Make Public
5. Choose how you'd like it displayed, or hide it completely
6. Select Save Changes

You can choose which email notifications you receive for Account and Memorial page activity, and change them whenever you like.

To update your email notifications:

1. Log in to your account
2. You'll be taken to your Dashboard
3. Click the Account Settings button
4. Select Notifications
5. Use the checkboxes to choose which notifications you'd like to receive:

• To turn a notification on, check the box
• To turn it off, uncheck the box

Your settings save automatically as you go.

You can deactivate your account whenever you wish. Before you do, please make sure you're no longer the Guardian of any existing memorials. If you'd like your Memorial pages to stay active, you'll need to assign another Guardian to look after them first. When you're ready to deactivate, here's how:

1. Log in to your account
2. You'll be taken to your Dashboard
3. Click Account Settings
4. At the bottom, select Other Settings
5. From there, you can deactivate your Living Memorial Page or your account

Guardians can choose whether visitors are able to download the media from the Life & Mementos section. This covers all the images and videos shared across the Memorial page. To turn the option on or off:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Select the Life & Mementos tab
4. Select Edit Life & Mementos
5. Find the option Allow visitors to download Mementos

• Tap the toggle to the right to let guests download all Mementos
• Tap the toggle to the left to prevent guests from downloading them

It's lovely to have all your media gathered on a Memorial page, but there may be times you'd like everything saved offline too. Just as you can download single images and videos, you can also download them all together.

1. Go to the Memorial page
2. Select the Life & Mementos tab
3. Scroll to the Mementos Library at the bottom of the page
4. Click Download all Mementos- If you don't see this option, it means the Grey Blossom Administrators of the Memorial page haven't allowed Mementos to be downloaded
5. A window will appear with a little more detail. Do read it through, so your download goes smoothly
6. Please stay on the page until the download is complete
7. Once it's finished, you'll find a .zip folder in your device's downloads, holding all the images and videos. If there are a great many Mementos, you may find more than one .zip folder

Perhaps you're on a new device, or someone has shared a photo or video you'd love to keep. You can download it to your device easily.

1. Select the media item you'd like, which will open it in a larger window.
2. At the bottom of the window, click Download Memento

• If you don't see this option, it means the Guardian of the Memorial page hasn't allowed Mementos to be downloaded

The Memento will then save to your device automatically

Flags are items on the Memorial pages you manage, such as images, videos or tributes, that a visitor has reported as:- Spam- Inappropriate- Or for another reason they've shared

If you come across something you feel is spam, inappropriate or harmful, you can let the Guardian of the Memorial page know by flagging the image, video, comment or tribute in question. To do so:

• On the content you'd like to flag, select the flag icon 🚩

For tributes or comments, the flag icon sits in the top right corner. For images and videos, click the item first, and the flag icon will appear in the top left corner

• Select a reason for flagging it, or add your own in the text box
• Click Submit
• The Guardian of the page will then be notified to review the flagged content.

Flags are items on the Memorial pages you manage, such as images, videos or tributes, that a visitor has reported as:

• Spam
• Inappropriate
• Or for another reason they've shared

You can review flagged items at any time from your Dashboard. To keep or remove them:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Dashboard
3. Click Flags at the top of the page
4. Review the flagged content
5. Select Keep to leave the content on the page or select Remove to permanently delete it from the page.

A Story template is a lovely way to give a particular memory or story its own place on a Memorial page. To add one:

1. Log in to your account. Go to the Memorial page
2. Click the Life & Mementos tab
3. Click the Edit Life & Mementos button
4. Choose the Story template you'd like from the section beneath the View Life & Mementos button
5. To add another Story, simply repeat these steps 🔁

An Album Story lets you bring up to 50 photos and videos together in one place, perhaps tracing your loved one through the years, remembering a special trip, or simply gathering your favourite snapshots. To get started:

1. Select Album Story from the drop down menu in Life & Mementos
2. Click Add to album
3. Upload several files from your device, or pick from what you've already added using Choose from Mementos
4. Drag and drop to arrange the images and videos in order. Enter a title under What does this album represent?
5. Add a description, with any details, stories or thoughts you'd like to share
6. Once you're happy with your Story, click Save Story 🏘️

Please note: if you're uploading a video from your device, it may take a little while to process before it appears on your Memorial page.

💡 Tip: we accept any combination of .png, .jpeg/.jpg, .gif, .avi, .mkv, .3gp, .mov, .mp4, .wmv, .mpg and .mpeg files.

A Document Story lets you upload a PDF of something meaningful, perhaps a cherished recipe, a hard-earned degree or certificate, copies of old love letters, and more. (Please do keep sensitive or private documents, such as a birth or death certificate, off the page.) To get started:

1. Select Document Story from the drop down menu in Life & Mementos
2. Upload a PDF document. Enter a title under What does this document represent
3. Add a date in the date field, if you'd like. Add a description, with any details, stories or thoughts you'd like to share
4. Once you're happy with your Story, click Save Story

Interests and Milestones are Life & Mementos Story templates, made to help you share small facts and dates in a clear, visual way. Use Interests to capture the little things your loved one enjoyed, like their hobbies or favourite foods. Use the Milestones categories to build a detailed timeline of their achievements and their life story. Or choose Create Your Own to tell their story exactly as you wish.

Follow these steps to Edit Life & Mementos

• Select +Add Interests or Milestones below the View Life & Mementos button
• In the window that appears, choose the type of milestone or interest you'd like to share

Interests, for sharing your loved one's hobbies, favourite activities and more

Family Milestones, for charting the moments that shaped their family, such as marriage, children or moving into a home

Academic Milestones, for recording their academic history and achievements, like degrees earned

Professional Milestones, for tracing their career and working life

Military Milestones, for recording a history and timeline of military service

Create Your Own, for blending features from any of the Milestone categories above

• Fill in the date and description fields
• Select Text Only, or Icon and Text if you'd like a graphic to illustrate a Milestone
• Once you're happy with your Story, click Save Story

Tip: each tab you complete posts as a separate story, so we'd suggest saving after each one, so none of your progress is lost.

Our Life & Mementos section was created to give you a rich, flexible way to tell the story of your loved one's life. On a Memorial page, you can upload photos and videos, share their favourite quotes and interests, scan in documents such as recipes or letters, chart the achievements of their life on a timeline, and so much more.

A Map Story lets you mark the places that meant something in your loved one's life, perhaps the homes they made or the destinations they loved to visit. To get started:

1. Select "Add a map" from the section below the View Life & Mementos button
2. Give the Map Story a title
3. Add a description for the map marker, with any details, stories or thoughts you'd like to share
4. Drop a pin by entering an address or place name. A list of matching places and addresses will appear, so you can select the one you mean
5. Add as many further markers as you'd like
6. Once you're happy with your Story, click Save Story

A Photo Story places a single photo, and the story behind it, in the spotlight. To get started:

Follow these steps to Edit Life & Mementos

1. Select Photo Story from the drop down menu in Life & Mementos
2. Upload a file from your device, or pick from what you've already added using Choose from Mementos
3. Enter a title under What does this photo representAdd a date in the date field, if you'd like
4. Add a description, with any details, stories or thoughts you'd like to share
5. Choose how you'd like the Photo Story to display
6. Once you're happy with your Story, click Save Story

Tip: we accept .png, .jpg, .jpeg and .gif files, and each image needs to be between 5KB and 10MB in size.

A Quote Story gives your loved one's favourite words a place of their own, whether that's a line of poetry, a well-loved catchphrase, a piece of scripture, or anything else that captured them. To get started:

2. Enter the quote
3. Add the author, if you'd like
4. Once you're happy with your Story, click Save Story

Title and Text Stories give you a simple way to shape the rest of your Stories. A Title is a single line of bold, header-like text, while Text allows for larger blocks of smaller writing. You might use them to group your Stories into sections, to add a little context between them, or on their own for quiet impact. You can also pair a title and text together, if you'd like. To get started:

2. Use the title field for a few words or a short line
3. Use the text field for longer descriptions, details, or anything else you'd like to add
4. Once you're happy with your Story, click Save Story

A Video Story lets you share a cherished or meaningful video clip, along with the story behind it. To get started:

Follow these steps to Edit Life & Mementos

• Select Video Story from the drop down menu in Life & Mementos
• You can add a video in any of these ways:

Upload a file from your device

Pick from what you've already added using Choose from Mementos

Add a video using a link from YouTube or Vimeo

• Enter a title under What does this video represent
• Add a date in the date field, if you'd like
• Add a description, with any details, stories or thoughts you'd like to share
• Choose how you'd like the Video Story to display
• Once you're happy with your Story, click Save Story

Note: if you're uploading a video from your device, it may take a little while to process before it appears on your Memorial page.

Tip: we accept .avi, .mkv, .3gp, .mov, .mp4, .wmv, .mpg and .mpeg files, with a maximum size of 2GB.

A Web Story lets you share a link to a webpage that mattered in your loved one's life, perhaps their blog, a portfolio of their work, a place they volunteered, or another site close to them. To get started:

Follow these steps to Edit Life & Mementos

1. Select Web Story from the drop down menu in Life & Mementos
2. Paste the link you'd like to share
3. Add a title for the story
4. Add a description, with any details, stories or thoughts you'd like to share
5. Once you're happy with your Story, click Save Story

A Living Memorial page is for anyone who would like to begin telling their own life story, building their family tree, and keeping their most cherished memories safe.

A Living Memorial can also be created for someone else. It's a meaningful way to gather and safely hold a loved one's life story while they are still with you.

Creating your own Living Memorial can be a beautiful way to share your life, your story and your legacy in your own words, so you're remembered just as you'd wish. To create a Living Memorial page:

1. Log in to your account, or sign up
2. You'll be taken to your Dashboard
3. Towards the top of the page, click Create My Living Memorial
4. Confirm that you'd like to create a Living Memorial page
5. Your existing Profile page will become a Living Memorial page
6. From there, you can add to the page just as you would a Memorial page, sharing your most cherished memories, photos, videos, family tree and more

💡 Tip: you can keep your Living Memorial page private from the public by setting it to Draft.

A Living Memorial can be a meaningful way to share someone's legacy while they are still with us. To create one for another person:

• Log in to your account, or sign up for one
• You'll be taken to your Dashboard
• Click + Create a Memorial Page
• Enter their name and pronouns
• Enter their date of birth, and uncheck the option Has passed away?
• The option to add their email address will appear. You're welcome to enter it, or to carry on without it

If you do add their email, they'll be notified that you've created a Living Memorial page for them, and they can choose to help build it alongside you

• Complete the remaining steps on screen and select Create Memorial
• You'll be taken to the new Living Memorial page, where you can begin adding to the story of their life and legacy

💡 Tip: you can keep your Living Memorial page private from the public by setting it to Draft.

The Loved Ones tab is our Family Tree feature. It's a way to bring together the people who mattered most in your loved one's life, all in one place. You can add individuals by hand, or invite existing online memorial users as Loved Ones.

Loved Ones can be arranged by generation and by group, and you're welcome to include family, friends, colleagues and more, in whatever order feels right. While you're in edit mode, you can simply drag and drop someone to move them between generations and groups.

Adding Loved Ones is a way to highlight the special people and relationships in a person's life.To add an existing Online Memorial user:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click the Loved Ones tab
4. Under the Loved Ones tab, select Edit Loved Ones
5. Click Create your family tree, or click Add a Loved One
6. Type their name or email into the search bar (do use the email linked to their online memorials account)
7. Find their profile in the drop down menu below and select it
8. Add how they were related to the person being remembered, either by choosing from the options available or by selecting Custom Relationship
9. Click Save Loved One to save your work and add this person to Loved Ones
10. A request will be sent to the Online Memorial user to become a Loved One for this Memorial. Once they accept, the relationship will appear under Loved Ones

To add a Loved One who isn't an Online Memorial user:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click the Loved Ones tab
4. Under the Loved Ones tab, select Edit Loved Ones
5. Click Create your family tree, or click Add a Loved One
6. Then enter some required details about the person you'd like to add. Your Loved One can't be added unless these fields are completed:

• Their first and last name
• Their pronouns
• How they were related to the person being remembered, chosen from the options available or typed in as a custom relationship

You can also add some optional details:

• If the Loved One has passed away, select Has passed away, which gives you the option to enter their date of death
• If they haven't, you can add their email, which lets them know you've added them as a Loved One and invites them to join Grey Blossom
• If you'd like to add a photo of the Loved One, you can either upload a new one or choose from Mementos:
• To upload a new photo, select Upload new photo, then choose the image from your device
• To use a photo already on the Memorial page, select Choose from Mementos and pick the one you'd like
• You can also choose to create a Memorial page for this person at the same time, if you wish.

Finally, click Save Loved One to save your work and add this person to Loved Ones.

As you shape the Loved Ones tab, you're welcome to update a Loved One's details whenever you need to. To do so:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click the Loved Ones tab
4. Under the Loved Ones tab, select Edit Loved Ones
5. Find the Loved One you'd like to edit, click or tap their image, then select the Edit button
6. From there, you can change their name, relationship, profile picture, or any other detail you wish
7. Once you've finished, click Save Loved One

If you'd like to remove someone from the Loved Ones tab, here's how.

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click the Loved Ones tab
4. Under the Loved Ones tab, select Edit Loved Ones
5. Find the Loved One you'd like to remove, click or tap their image, then click the Delete button
6. Confirm that you'd like them removed, and they'll be taken off the Loved Ones page

By default, a Loved One appears in the container you chose when adding them, but you can move them around whenever you'd like. To rearrange the order:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click the Loved Ones tab
4. Under the Loved Ones tab, select Edit Loved Ones
5. Drag and drop the Loved One to wherever you'd like them to sit
6. To swap two Loved Ones, drag and drop one over the other and they'll switch places

You're welcome to add a description, or just a few words, to the Loved Ones tab. If you'd like to give visitors a little more context, here's how.

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click the Loved Ones tab
4. Under the Loved Ones tab, select Edit Loved Ones
5. Type the words you'd like to share into the Section description box
6. Select Save Changes
7. Your description will then appear on the Loved Ones tab

To add a new row of Loved Ones, you can place a generation either above or below the main row:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click the Loved Ones tab
4. Under the Loved Ones tab, select Edit Loved Ones
5. To add a generation above, select Add a generation above
6. To add a generation below, select Add a generation below
7. You'll then be prompted to add a Loved One to the new generation

You can bring a little order to your Loved Ones page by giving each group a title or name. To name a group:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click the Loved Ones tab
4. Under the Loved Ones tab, select Edit Loved Ones
5. Find the group you'd like to name or rename
6. Click the pencil icon in the upper right corner of the group
7. Give the group a name
8. Once you're happy with it, click SaveThe group name will then appear at the top of the group

You can remove an entire group from your Loved Ones page. Please bear in mind that deleting a group also removes everyone within it, so do move any Loved Ones you'd like to keep before you go ahead. To delete a group:

1. Log in to your account. Go to the Memorial page
2. Click the Loved Ones tab. Under the Loved Ones tab, select Edit Loved Ones
3. Find the group you'd like to delete. In the lower right of the group, click the trash can icon
4. Confirm that you'd like to delete it, and the group will be removed

Groups are created automatically as you add Loved Ones, and they come in three sizes: small, medium and large. A small group holds up to 4 Loved Ones, a medium group up to 6, and a large group up to 12. To change the size of a group:

1. Log in to your account. Go to the Memorial page
2. Click the Loved Ones tab. Under the Loved Ones tab, select Edit Loved Ones
3. Hover over the group and select the size box in the lower left

You can rename the Loved Ones tab so it better reflects what's inside. Perhaps "Community", "Family Tree" or "Friends and Family" feels more fitting. The choice of title is entirely yours.

4. Under the Loved Ones tab, select Edit Loved Ones
5. Type your preferred title, such as "Family Tree" or "Chosen Family", under Section title

The Loved Ones tab can be a lovely feature, but you're welcome to hide it if it isn't something you'd like to use. To hide it completely:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click the Loved Ones tab
4. Under the Loved Ones tab, select Edit Loved Ones
5. Go to Section Visibility and select HideSelect View Loved Ones
6. Guests will no longer see the Loved Ones tab on the Memorial. You can check what visitors will see by selecting the Preview as Guest button. Logged-in Guardians will still see the tab

The Life & Mementos tab offers a lovely way to celebrate the life and memories of your loved one. Within it, the Mementos Library gathers all the photos and videos shared on a Memorial in one place, ready to view and keep, whether they've come from a visitor's tribute or been added by a Guardian.

How do I contribute to the Mementos Library of the Life & Mementos tab?

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to your loved one's Memorial page
3. Click the Life & Mementos tab
4. Click the Edit Life & Mementos button

Scroll down to see the photos, videos and albums added to your Memorial page in the Mementos Library.

Click any Memento to enlarge it, add a description, crop or rotate it, leave a comment, or Like it.

Sharing photos and videos can be a meaningful way to bring your loved one's life into view. Please note: only Guardians can add images and videos through the Mementos Library. Page visitors are welcome to submit images and videos to a Memorial through Tributes.

4. Click the Edit Life & Mementos button
5. Scroll to the very bottom of the page to Add Mementos
6. Click Upload files, or simply drag and drop your media
7. Choose your files.

Images can be .png, .jpg, .jpeg or .gif, and each needs to be between 5KB and 10MB. Videos can be .avi, .mkv, .3gp, .mov, .mp4, .wmv, .mpg or .mpeg, with a maximum size of 2GB

Tip: you can add up to 100 media files at once.

Albums are a helpful way to bring order to a Mementos Library, letting you group your Mementos however feels right, whether by time, by subject, by type, or in any way that suits you. To create an album:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to your loved one's Memorial page
3. Click the Life & Mementos tab
4. Click the Edit Life & Mementos button
5. Scroll down to your Mementos Library
6. Hover over or tap the items you'd like to group together, then check the box in the top left corner of each one
7. Select Group into album in the top menu bar
8. Add an album title if you'd like one
9. Click Create album

The items in a Mementos Library can be arranged in whatever order feels right to you, and rearranging them is simple.

5. Drag and drop items to move them wherever you'd like
6. Click Save

If you'd like to remove something from the Mementos Library, you can do so easily as a Guardian.

Anyone can leave a tribute on a Memorial page, whether you have an Online Memorial account or are simply visiting. It's a gentle way to share a treasured memory, offer your condolences, or honour a life with a few heartfelt words.

• If you have an Online Memorial account, log in
• Go to the Memorial
• Scroll down to the Tributes section

Optional: If you'd like a little prompt to begin with, select Answer a Question and browse through the questions on offer.

• Choose the one you'd like to respond to by selecting Answer this question
• Write your tribute, or your answer to the question, in the text field

Optional: Upload photos and videos to your tribute. If you're logged in, select Publish whenever you're ready to share. If you're not logged in, you'll be asked to enter your name and email address.A published tribute will look like this:

A tribute is a lovely way to remember someone, and it doesn't have to be words alone. Alongside a favourite memory, a message of condolence, or a few heartfelt words, you can include photos and videos too.

How many you can add depends on your account type, but it's somewhere between 3 and 10 images and videos in a single tribute.

1. If you have an Online Memorial account, log in
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Scroll down to the Tributes section
4. In the text field, write your tribute or message of condolence to sit alongside your photo or video
5. Select Add Photos & Videos
6. Upload the photos or videos from your device
7. To add a caption or alt text, or to crop or rotate an image, select Edit photos and videos
8. Select Save Changes
9. If you're visiting as a guest, you'll be asked to enter your name and email address
10. Select Publish

A few tips for images and videos: Images can be .png, .jpg, .jpeg or .gif filesVideos can be .avi, .mkv, .3gp, .mov, .mp4, .wmv, .mpg or .mpeg files.

Each image needs to be between 5KB and 10MB in size. A single video can be up to 1GB. Altogether, the images and videos you share can total up to 1GB

As a Guardian, you can add your loved one's final resting place to their Memorial page in the Resting Place section. You can mark the spot of a headstone, an urn, a memorial tree, a scattering place, and more, by dropping a pin, adding an address, or using the exact geographic coordinates. You can also add images of the resting place, to help visitors find the spot, or to bring those who live far away a little closer.

How do I add a Resting Place Location?

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click Edit Memorial
4. Scroll to Add a resting place and select it
5. Enter the place name into the location field (for example, a cemetery name)
6. Choose the right location from the dropdown that appears
7. This address will show on the Memorial page
8. The map will move to the location you've chosen
9. Add a name or description in the field below. This will also show on the Memorial page
10. You can then add a description to help guide visitors. For example: "Section: Sunrise, Row: 14, Plot 1" and "Take the bunny trail all the way up the mountain to the lookout on the left. It was always Mum's favourite spot."
11. You can also drag and drop the pin on the map, or geotag the precise location
12. Once you've chosen the location, click Save Resting Place
13. The saved Resting Place will then appear on the Memorial page.

Note: please don't enter sensitive information such as a home address. A neighbourhood is best instead.

A geotag is our most precise way to mark a Resting Place. By entering the exact latitude and longitude, the pin will reflect the location as accurately as possible. This is especially helpful for places that can be harder to find, such as a scattering location, a large cemetery, or a bench with a memorial plaque.

How do I Geotag a final Resting Place?

Follow the steps to add a Resting Place Location

• Once you've added a Resting Place location, there are a few ways to pinpoint it more precisely:
• Geotag your current location: this saves where you are now, using your device's location settings. It's best used when you're standing at your loved one's resting place, such as at their marker in a cemetery or their scattering location.
• Type or copy and paste the latitude and longitude coordinates: if you already have the coordinates of the resting place, you can enter them here. They should follow this format: 43.286229, -79.882592
• Drag and drop the pin on the map: if you can spot the resting place on the map itself, simply select the pin and drag it to the right spot.
• Once you've added the details you'd like, select Save Resting Place. The saved Resting Place, with its geolocation, will then appear on the Memorial page.

You can add up to two images of your loved one's resting place in the Resting Place section, perhaps their headstone, urn or scattering location.To add images to a Resting Place:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page

4. Scroll to the Resting Place section of the Memorial
5. Select Add images
6. You can upload an image from your device by selecting Select file, or simply drop your files into the area provided.

A Guardian is the person entrusted with looking after an online memorial. They are the keeper of the legacy, the one who carries the memory of their loved one forward. When you create an online memorial for someone, you become their Guardian automatically. Only Guardians can make changes to a Memorial page, adjust its privacy settings, and more.

To add an existing Online Memorial user:

1. Log in to your account

To invite someone who doesn't yet have an Online Memorial account:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Select Memorial Grey Blossom Administrators under the profile photo
4. Enter their email address and their first and last name in the form
5. You're welcome to add a personal message in the text field
6. Click Send email invitation

A Guardian is the person chosen to look after an online memorial. If you'd like to become a Guardian of an existing Memorial page, you can send a request to its current Guardian. To do so:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page you'd like to help look after
3. Select Memorial Guardian(s) under the profile photo
4. Click Send Guardian Request
5. The Guardian(s) of the page will see your request in their Request Center, via the Dashboard
6. They'll need to approve it before you're given Guardian privileges.

Memorial pages are set to Published by default. When a page is in Draft, only its Guardian(s) can see or edit it. You're welcome to switch a page to Draft at any time if you'd like to make changes, though do bear in mind that guests won't be able to view it while it's there. To set a Memorial page to Draft or Published:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to your loved one's Memorial page
3. Beneath their name, you'll find a toggle to choose between Published and Draft
4. Select Draft to keep the page private
5. Select Published whenever you're ready to share it

Every photo, video and comment shared on a Memorial adds something to your loved one's story. That's why we've made it possible to see what others would like to post on the Memorials you manage before it appears for everyone. This covers Tribute posts and comments, image and video posts, Memento comments, and Event questions and comments.To turn the approval feature on or off:

1. Log in to your account
2. Select the Memorial page you'd like to change
3. Beneath the banner image on the right, select Edit Page Settings
4. Select the Viewing & Privacy Tab
5. You'll see the question, Would you like to approve all Tributes shared on this memorial page before they appear?
6. Select Yes, I want to approve all content before it appears on the page
7. Save Settings

The Memorial tab brings together a number of sections and features:

• A Donation Link

The details of your loved one's Resting Place(s)

You're welcome to use as many or as few of these as feels right. To begin editing and shaping the content on the Memorial tab:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to your loved one's Memorial page
3. Click Edit Memorial

From here, you can add to any of the sections above. Anything you leave blank simply won't show on the page, so there's no need to fill in more than you'd like.

As a Guardian, you can share a life story, an obituary, a biography or a treasured memory on the Memorials you manage. It's a way to give those who visit the page a fuller sense of who your loved one was, through the details and stories that matter.

To add an obituary or biography:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click Edit Memorial
4. Under Obituary or Biography, write the words or stories you'd like to share

A few things worth knowing:

• An obituary or biography can be up to 20,000 characters- Use the Bold or Italics buttons to emphasise parts of the text
• You can also add links, bullet points or numbered lists to help tell the story

Then:

1. If you're not quite ready to publish, the toggle button lets you keep it as a Draft
2. Setting the toggle to Public makes the obituary or biography visible to everyone with permission to view it
3. Once you're happy with it, select Save changes

We've partnered with Pledge, a trusted platform with a large directory of verified charities and organisations. Donations made through it are handled securely, which brings reassurance to both those giving and those receiving. As a Guardian, you can add a link to a charity, an organisation or a fundraising page, with room for up to two links in total, one in each modal.To add a Donation link:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click Edit Memorial
4. Scroll to the Donation link section
5. Select Add a donation link
6. Click Search for a Charity
7. Complete the required fields
8. Select Save Donation Link

Your donation link will then appear on the Memorial page.When donations come in, Pledge shares a list of donors with the Guardian. To see it, log in and select "click here" on the Memorial page.

Grey Blossom also lets you add a custom link, which is helpful for personal fundraising or for charities that aren't listed on Pledge.

To add a Custom Link:

1. Log in to your accountGo to the Memorial page
2. Click Edit MemorialScroll to the Donation link section
3. Select Add a donation link
4. Click Add a custom link
5. Complete the required fields
6. Click Save donation link
7. Your donation link will then appear on the Memorial page.

A highlighted item lets you draw attention to something you'd particularly like visitors to see when they arrive at the Memorial. You can switch this on or off as you wish.

With it switched off, the first thing guests see is the next completed section, such as the memorial quote or the biography.

With it switched on, you can choose to feature one of the following:

• A welcome message for those viewing the page
• An upcoming Event you've created on the Memorial page
• A Donation link you've added to the Memorial page

To turn a highlight on:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click Edit Memorial
4. Toggle Display Highlighted Item On and choose the item you'd like to highlight
5. Once you're done, click Save Changes

We offer a range of options, so a Memorial page can be as open or as private as you need it to be. To change the security and privacy settings of a Memorial page, follow the steps below.

1. Log in to your account
2. Select the Memorial page you'd like to change
3. Click Edit Page Settings
4. Select the Viewing & Privacy tab

You can choose from the following:

• Public: Anyone visiting the online memorial site can view and contribute to the profile.
• Myself and Guardians: Only you and the other Guardians of this page can view and contribute when logged in.
• Password Protected: You, other Guardians, and anyone with the password can view and contribute to the Memorial. The Guardians of the page set the password, which needs to be between 5 and 72 characters. It can be as simple or as detailed as feels right to you.
• Invitation Only: You, your Guardians, family members, and anyone you've invited by email can view and contribute to the page.

Once you've chosen your privacy level, click Save Settings

As a Guardian, the choice is entirely yours. A memorial can be fully public, kept completely private, or set somewhere in between. If you'd like to share it with family alone, you can. If you'd prefer it password protected, that's possible too. You'll find more on this in our Privacy Settings guide.

How do I make sure only invited people can see my memorial?

We offer a range of options, so a Memorial page can be as public or private as you need. If you'd like a page to be seen only by those you invite directly, we'd suggest choosing the Invitation Only option.What is the Invitation Only privacy setting?

Invitation Only is one of the privacy settings available for Memorial pages. With it switched on, only you, your Guardians, family members, friends, and anyone you've invited by email can view and contribute to the page. (This option is available to Grey Blossom Plus users.)

How do I share an Invitation Only Memorial page?

When a Memorial page is set to Invitation Only, you can invite people to it. To share an invitation:

1. Log in to your account
2. Select the Memorial page
3. Click Edit Page Settings
4. Go to Viewing & Privacy
5. Select Manage Invitations
6. Click + Invite People
7. If they already have an account, search by their name or emailIf they don't, enter their first name, last name and email address
8. Select Send Invitation

How do I revoke access to someone on an Invitation Only Memorial Page?

You can remove access for anyone you previously invited to an Invitation Only Memorial page. To remove someone:

1. Log in to your account
2. Select the Memorial page
3. Click Edit Page Settings
4. Go to Viewing & Privacy
5. Select Manage Invitations
6. Find the person's name
7. Select Revoke Access
8. Confirm that you'd like to remove them
9. They'll no longer have access to the Memorial page

How to change someone's email with whom I've invited?

To update the email address of someone you've invited to an Invitation Only Memorial page, follow the steps below.

1. Log in to your account
2. Select the Memorial page
3. Click Edit Page Settings
4. Go to Viewing & Privacy
5. Select Manage Invitations
6. Find the person's name and select Edit
7. Update their email address and, if needed, their name
8. Select Save Changes
9. Once the email address is changed, a fresh invitation link to view the Memorial page will be sent to the new address

How do I resend an invite to an Invitation Only Memorial?

You can resend an invitation to anyone you previously invited to an Invitation Only Memorial page. To do so:

1. Log in to your account
2. Select the Memorial page
3. Click Edit Page Settings
4. Go to Viewing & Privacy
5. Select Manage Invitations
6. Find the person's name
7. Select Resend invitation
8. They'll receive a new email invitation with a link to access the Memorial page

How do I request access to a private memorial page?

Some families choose to keep a Memorial page private, and there are a few different privacy options they might use.

How do I request access to a password protected Memorial page?

If a Memorial page is password protected, you'll be asked to enter the password. If you have it, simply enter it and you'll be taken straight to the page. If you don't, you can send a request to the page's Guardian(s), who can grant you access.

1. Go to the private Memorial page you'd like to access
2. On the password pop-up, click Request Access
3. Enter your first and last name, along with your email
4. Click Request Page Access
5. You'll receive an email if your request is approved.

How do I request access to an Invitation Only Memorial page?

If a Memorial page is Invitation Only, the Guardian(s) will send out invitations by email, each with a magic link. You can reach the page by clicking that link. If you've been sent a regular link instead, you can send a request to the page's Guardian(s) to grant you access.

1. Go to the private Memorial page you'd like to access
2. On the pop-up, click Request Page Access
3. Enter your first and last name, along with your email
4. Click Request Page Access
5. You'll receive an email if your request is approved.

Please bear in mind that out of respect for the family's wishes, we're unable to grant access to a private Memorial page ourselves.

How do I share a Password Protected Memorial Page?

As an administrator on a Memorial page set to password protected, you can share it with those you'd like to view and contribute.

Sharing a Memorial set to Password Protected. When a Guardian shares a memorial page using the "share by email" button, the guests you invite will receive an email with a special link. The password is built into that link, so they won't need to enter it by hand when they open the page.

The same email also includes the password itself, which they can use in future if the special link is ever misplaced.

You're welcome to copy this special link and paste it almost anywhere to share the Memorial, whether by text message, on social media, in an email, or elsewhere.

As a Guardian you can switch moderation on or off to review the posts people submit. With moderation on, you're able to review, approve or reject content such as tributes, photos and comments before it appears on a Memorial page. To turn moderation on, follow the steps below.

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to the Memorial page
3. Click Edit Page Settings
4. Select the Viewing & Privacy Tab
5. Choose whether you'd like to approve all content from guests and members before it appears publicly

Guardians can also moderate the Tribute section and Memento comments. You can:

• Edit or delete your own Tribute posts and comments
• Edit or delete your own comments
• Delete Tribute posts and comments left by othersTo do this, make sure you're logged in, then click the edit icon or the trashcan icon at the top right of each post.

Please note: a signed-in user can edit and delete the posts they've contributed to your Memorial page.

Search engines like Google add Memorial pages to their results automatically. This can make a page easier to find, helping people visit, contribute, or catch details such as upcoming events. We understand, though, that you may prefer your page not to appear in Google's results, whether for now or for good. To decide whether sites like Google can find your page, follow the steps below.

1. Log in to your account
2. Select the Memorial page
3. Click Edit Page Settings
4. Go to Viewing & Privacy
5. Make sure you've chosen the right Memorial privacy setting
6. Under "Do you want your page to come up in search engine results like Google?", select Yes or No
7. Click Save Settings

Please note: it can take up to 72 hours for results to be added to or removed from Google. As this is handled by Google, it isn't something we're able to speed up.

Online Memorials lets users send requests relating to Memorial pages. As a Guardian, you can review, approve or decline these in the Requests tab of your Dashboard.

There are a few different types of request you might receive:

• Content Request: if you've set your page to approve all posts before they're published, these requests will appear in the Requests tab and wait for your approval. Visitors can request to add Tribute and Event messages, photos, videos and comments to the pages you manage.
• Guardian Request: you'll receive this when someone would like to become a Guardian of a Memorial you manage.
• Guardian Invite: you'll receive this when someone invites you to become a Guardian of a Memorial they manage.
• Loved Ones Request: you'll receive this when a Guardian would like to add a relationship between a Memorial they manage and you, or a Memorial you manage. If you accept, the relationship will appear on the Loved Ones tab of the page that made the request.
• Access Memorial Request: you'll receive this if you've set your Memorial page to private and someone is asking to view and contribute to it.

Online Memorials lets users submit requests to Grey Blossom Administrators. As a Grey Blossom Administrator, you can review, approve or decline these in the Requests tab of your Dashboard.

4. Review the request, then select Accept or Decline

Your profile page holds information about you, including your name and any Memorial pages you manage. You can add a profile photo, change the banner image, and update the privacy and security settings for the page. You can also turn it into a Living Memorial and begin sharing your legacy.

Your name and profile image appear on the Memorial pages you manage, and alongside anything you share, such as a tribute message left on a Memorial.

Your profile page lets friends, family and loved ones see who the Grey Blossom Administrator of a Memorial page is. It reassures them that the page is cared for by someone they trust, and that it's a genuine Memorial.

Changing your display name is simple. Just follow the steps below.

1. Log in to your account
2. Select your name in the upper right corner of the menu
3. Click My Profile
4. Select Edit Profile Settings
5. Update your name in the text fields. You can add a first name, last name, middle name, suffix, and nickname

Your profile image is yours to update whenever you'd like. The process takes only a moment, and the steps below will walk you through it.

The ending of your profile's web address is something you can personalise to suit you. To set your own, follow the steps below.

5. Toggle to Viewing & Privacy
6. Enter your new URL
7. Click Save Settings

Your Profile Page is yours to shape over time. You can add to it, edit it, or remove things whenever you feel the need.

4. From the dropdown menu, click My Profile
5. On the right side, at the bottom of the banner image, click Edit Profile Settings

A window will open, and from there you can:

1. Add and edit information about yourself

Your privacy matters to us. Whether or not you'd like your page to show up on search engines is entirely your choice, and you can set this either way. To decide whether sites like Google can find your page, follow the steps below.

1. Log in to your account
2. Select your name in the upper right corner
3. Click My Profile
4. Select Edit Profile Settings
5. Toggle to Viewing & Privacy
6. Under "Do you want your page to come up in search engine results like Google?", select yes or no
7. Click Save Settings

Please note: Memorial Pages appear in search engine results by default.

No two lives are the same, and no two stories should be told the same way. Our Memorial Pages are made to be flexible and personal, giving you the freedom to celebrate your loved one's life in a way that feels true to them.

If you don't yet have an online memorial account, your funeral service provider will be able to help you get started.

Once your account is set up, or once you've logged in, you'll arrive at your personal Dashboard. Under Your Memorials, click Create a Memorial Page or New Memorial Page.

To begin, you'll be asked for a few simple details about your loved one.

Creating a Memorial Page makes you its Guardian, the person who looks after it.

The name shown on a Memorial page is yours to adjust whenever you need to. Here's how.

2. Select the Memorial page you'd like to change
3. Beneath the banner image on the right, select Edit Page Settings
4. Add or update the first name, last name, middle name, suffix, or nickname
5. Select Save Settings

Updating a date of birth or a date of passing on a Memorial page takes only a moment. The steps below will guide you through it.

1. Log in to your account
2. Select the Memorial page you'd like to change
3. Click Edit Page Settings
4. Under Date of Birth, edit the date
5. Under Date of Passing, edit the date
6. To change how either date is displayed, or to adjust its privacy, choose from the drop down menu
7. Click Save Settings

As the keeper of your loved one's memorial, you can set how they were related to you. There's a wide range of options to choose from, including Mother, Grandfather, Cousin, Uncle, Friend, Wife, Ex-Husband and Nephew, among others. And if none of them feels quite right, you can select Custom and put your own into words.

2. Select the Memorial page whose displayed relationship you'd like to change
3. Click Edit Page Settings
4. Under Relationship, choose one of the options provided or add your own custom relationship
5. Select Save Settings

The profile picture on a Memorial page is yours to update whenever you'd like. Here's how.

1. Log in to your account
2. Select the Memorial page you'd like to change
3. Hover over or tap the profile photo, then select Edit Profile Picture

There are three ways to add a new picture:

• Upload your own from your device
• Choose from Mementos, using any image already on the Memorial page
• Choose from the Grey Blossom Library, our lovely collection of images

1. To make adjustments, select edit, then reposition, rotate or crop the image however you wish
2. Click Save Settings

Tip: Profile pictures can be .png, .jpg, .jpeg or .gif files, and need to be between 5KB and 10MB in size.

The banner image is a chance to reflect who your loved one was: their interests, their character, the things that felt like them. You're welcome to upload an image of your own or choose from the options provided.

There are four places to choose a banner image from:

Once you're happy with it, click Save Settings

A small emblem can add a personal touch to a Memorial page, perhaps reflecting something that mattered deeply to your loved one. You're welcome to choose one from our library.

5. Browse our library, which is sorted into categories, with multicolour icons as well as ones that match your theme colour
6. Once you've chosen an icon, click Save Settings

You can choose a theme colour that feels right for the person being remembered. It carries across the page, shaping the buttons, icons, graphics and links. To set it, follow the steps below.

4. Select the Theme tab
5. On the right side, scroll to the accent colours
6. Clicking an individual colour shows you a preview above
7. Once you're happy with your choice, select Save Settings

While there's plenty of room to make a page your own, through a custom banner image, your chosen colour scheme and the content you add, the font and the colour of the text itself can't be changed.

This section walks you through editing a Memorial's basic information and making changes that apply across the whole page. That covers names, dates, the banner image and colour, privacy settings, and looking after the Guardian(s).

To open the Page Settings section:

2. Select the Memorial page you'd like to change
3. Beneath the banner image on the right, select Edit Page Settings

From there, each tab lets you shape the page, adjust its privacy and manage the Memorial.

It's natural to want to see a Memorial page the way your guests will. The Preview As Guest feature lets you do exactly that, showing the page from the perspective of someone who isn't managing it. You can move around and interact with it just as a visitor would, so you can see how it all comes together. Here's how.

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to your loved one's Memorial page
3. Select Preview as a guest
4. The preview opens in a new tab or window, ready for you to look over

If you're viewing a public Memorial page, whether as a Guest or as a Guardian you can invite others to visit and contribute. To share a public Memorial page, follow the steps below.

1. Go to the Memorial page
2. Click the Share Memorial button
3. On a desktop, you'll find this button in the top right corner
4. On a mobile, it sits just below the honouree's name

Then choose how you'd like to share:

• Share by email
• Copy link, which copies the Memorial page URL so you can paste it almost anywhere to pass it on to others
• Share to Facebook, Share to X (formerly Twitter) or Share to WhatsApp
