Terms of service
Version 1.2 | 22 October 2026
These terms apply when you use www.greyblossom.com (the Website) or purchase products or services through our shop from Grey Blossom Ltd (Grey Blossom, we, us or our).
Purchases that include Memory Grove are also subject to the separate Memory Grove Terms of Service, as explained below. Please read the relevant terms before placing your order. Nothing in these terms reduces your statutory consumer rights.
1 Who we are and how to contact us
Grey Blossom Ltd is registered in Scotland under company number SC602883. Our registered office is 75 East Main Street, Broxburn, Scotland, EH52 5EE. Our VAT number is 514944288.
Contact us by email at help@greyblossom.com or by post at Grey Blossom Ltd, 47 Albert Road, Dundee, Scotland DD5 1AY. Please contact us before sending a physical return so we can provide the correct return instructions.
2 These terms and other policies
These shop terms cover use of the Website, placing orders, and the supply and delivery of physical products. Our Return and Refund Policy and Shipping Policy also apply where relevant. Product descriptions, checkout information and any care or planting guidance supplied with a product form part of the agreement where relevant.
The Memory Grove Terms of Service additionally apply when you purchase Memory Grove on its own or with a physical product. They cover the digital memorial service, including setup, hosting, Guardians, contributions, content, privacy settings, downloads and closure. Where a provision of these shop terms overlaps or conflicts with those terms on the provision or use of Memory Grove, the Memory Grove terms apply to that service. The shop terms and the policies above continue to cover the physical products in a bundled order. This allocation does not reduce your legal rights or any binding promise made to you before purchase.
Our Shop Privacy Policy explains how we use information in connection with shopping and related communications. The separate Memory Grove Privacy Policy explains how we use information within the memorial platform. These privacy notices explain our data practices; accepting terms does not itself give consent to marketing or other processing that requires consent.
We use Shopify to operate the shop and process orders. Your contract for products and services is with Grey Blossom Ltd.
3 Our products and services
We sell memorial products, including sapling memorial sets, memorial benches, QR memorial sets, plaques, personalised ornaments and digital memorial services. The product description and checkout explain what is included in your purchase.
Product photographs, colours and dimensions are illustrative. Minor differences in colour, grain, natural materials, plant form and finish may occur.
Saplings are living plants. Their condition on delivery will meet the description provided, but successful planting, establishment and long-term growth depend on weather, soil, location, planting and aftercare. Please follow the guidance we provide. Nothing in this section limits your legal rights if a product is faulty, not as described or not of satisfactory quality.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to plant at the chosen location and for following applicable local rules, landowner requirements and our planting guidance. Where cremated ashes are used, you are responsible for using them lawfully and respectfully and for following our guidance.
4 Personalisation
Where a product includes personalisation, check all names, dates, wording, images and other details carefully before submitting your order. You confirm that you have the authority and permissions needed to provide the material and have it used to fulfil your order.
We may contact you if we reasonably believe personalisation contains an error, is unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, infringes another person's rights or is unsuitable for production. We may refuse or cancel an order in these circumstances and will refund any amount due for products or services we do not supply. This does not limit any refund required by law.
Personalisation begins when we start producing your personalised item. Plaque production usually begins on the day of order or the following working day. Contact us immediately if you need to amend or cancel an order. We will try to help before production begins, but cannot promise that a change or cancellation will be possible. Your cancellation rights are explained in section 7 and our Return and Refund Policy.
5 Placing an order
When you submit an order, you are offering to buy the selected products and services. We will email you to acknowledge receipt. Your purchase is accepted and the contract is formed when we send your order acceptance confirmation. An acknowledgement of receipt alone does not mean that we have accepted the order.
We may decline an order where, for example, a product is unavailable, there is an obvious pricing or product-description error, payment cannot be authorised, or the order cannot reasonably be fulfilled. If this happens after payment, we will refund you promptly.
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Unless clearly stated otherwise, displayed prices include VAT where applicable. We may change prices before an order is accepted, but this will not affect an accepted order.
6 Physical delivery and digital setup
We currently deliver physical products within the United Kingdom only. Delivery is free unless we clearly tell you otherwise before you place your order.
We aim to dispatch physical orders within three working days of acceptance. Personalised products may take longer at busy times. Delivery normally takes around 7–10 days from order for QR memorial sets and sapling memorial sets, and around 10–14 days for memorial benches. Delivery information for other products is shown on the relevant product page and in our Shipping Policy. We will tell you if there is a material delay.
Physical delivery times are estimates, except where we have expressly agreed a specific delivery date. The physical products remain our responsibility until delivered to you or a person you identify to receive them, subject to any different rule required by law.
Memory Grove setup is separate from physical delivery. Its invitation and setup times are explained in section 2 of the Memory Grove Terms of Service. A digital setup invitation does not confirm dispatch or delivery of a physical product.
7 Cancellations returns and refunds
Our Return and Refund Policy explains how to cancel, return or report a problem with a physical order and includes a model cancellation form.
For most non-personalised physical goods bought online, you normally have a legal right to cancel within 14 days after the day you receive them. This does not normally apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, such as a personalised plaque or ornament. This exception does not affect your rights if a product is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fails to meet the required legal standard.
Cancellation and refund rights for Memory Grove are explained in section 13 of the Memory Grove Terms of Service. For a standalone online purchase, the normal change-of-mind period is 14 days after the day the contract is made, subject to any longer period required by law.
We will only start supplying Memory Grove during the cancellation period where any legally required express request or consent has been obtained. Sending a setup invitation, activating a memorial or accepting terms does not by itself waive cancellation rights. Any lawful charge for service already supplied must meet the applicable legal conditions.
For an order containing physical goods and Memory Grove, cancellation rights depend on the contract and what was supplied. Personalisation of a physical item does not by itself remove rights relating to the digital service. We will apply the legal rights relevant to your order.
You can tell us that you wish to cancel by emailing help@greyblossom.com or writing to Grey Blossom Ltd, 47 Albert Road, Dundee, Scotland DD5 1AY. Using a cancellation form is optional. Please contact us for instructions before returning a physical item; this does not prevent you exercising your cancellation rights within the required period.
8 Memory Grove digital memorials
Memory Grove is our online memorial service for remembering a person or pet. Where your purchase includes it, the separate Memory Grove Terms of Service form part of your agreement with us for that service.
Those terms explain the included lifetime hosting with no annual hosting fees, the setup process, available privacy settings, relevant-content uploads and technical limits, Guardian responsibilities and arrangements if the service permanently closes.
You must be 18 or older to be a Guardian or submit any contribution or comment. A purchaser who intends to give Memory Grove to someone else should ensure that the intended Guardian meets that requirement. Guardians and contributors must follow the Memory Grove terms when using the platform, including where they did not make the original purchase.
These updated shop terms do not retrospectively replace the terms of an earlier purchase. The terms supplied or agreed for that purchase and any later changes lawfully agreed continue to apply.
9 Acceptable use of the Website
You must not misuse the Website. In particular, you must not interfere with its security or operation, introduce malware, scrape or collect personal data without permission, impersonate another person, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or use it for unlawful, harmful or abusive purposes.
The Memory Grove Terms of Service set out the additional content and acceptable-use rules for the memorial platform.
10 Our intellectual property
The Website, our branding, product designs, photographs, text and other content are owned by us or used with permission. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute or use them commercially without our written consent.
Ownership of content you upload to Memory Grove and the permission we need to operate that service are covered by its separate terms.
11 Third-party services and links
The Website may include third-party services, tools or links. Their terms and privacy policies may apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for independent third-party websites or services that we do not control, but remain responsible for our own obligations and for service providers where the law makes us responsible.
12 Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
For the Website and physical products, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, for business losses where you use our products as a consumer, or for loss caused solely by events outside our reasonable control that we could not reasonably avoid or overcome. This does not remove any obligation or remedy required by law.
Our responsibility for Memory Grove is explained in its separate terms, subject always to your legal rights.
13 Complaints
If you are unhappy with a product or service, contact us at help@greyblossom.com or Grey Blossom Ltd, 47 Albert Road, Dundee, Scotland DD5 1AY. Please provide your order number or memorial link where relevant and explain the issue. We will try to resolve it fairly and promptly. You do not have to use our complaints process before exercising a legal right.
14 Changes to these terms
We may update these shop terms from time to time. The version provided when you place an order applies to that order, unless a change is required by law or you agree otherwise. Updating this page does not automatically alter an existing purchase contract.
We will explain material changes affecting ongoing use of the Website where reasonably possible. Changes to an existing Memory Grove service are governed by section 14 of its separate terms.
15 Governing law
These terms are governed by Scots law. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, this does not take away mandatory protections that apply in your place of residence. The courts of Scotland have non-exclusive jurisdiction; this does not prevent you bringing proceedings in another court where you have a legal right to do so. Nothing requires you to use private arbitration or prevents a complaint to a competent regulator.
16 Other important terms
If a court finds part of these terms unlawful or unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply where it can operate fairly. If we delay in enforcing a right, we have not waived it.
If a funeral home or other channel partner introduces you to Grey Blossom, your purchase contract is with Grey Blossom Ltd unless we clearly tell you otherwise before the sale. A channel partner is not authorised to vary these terms or make commitments for us unless we confirm this in writing.
