Version 1.1 dated 22 October 2026
These terms explain what is included with Memory Grove, how you can use and manage a memorial, and how we look after the service. Please read them before purchasing, accepting management of a memorial or contributing content. Contact us if anything is unclear.
1 About us and these terms
Memory Grove is provided by Grey Blossom Ltd, registered in Scotland under company number SC602883. Our registered office is 75 East Main Street, Broxburn, Scotland, EH52 5EE. You can contact us by email at help@greyblossom.com or by post at 47 Albert Road, Dundee, Scotland DD5 1AY. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Grey Blossom Ltd.
These terms cover new purchases of Memory Grove, either when bought with one of our physical memorial product or on its own. Separate terms cover the supply and delivery of physical products. Nothing in either set of terms reduces your statutory consumer rights.
2 Buying and setting up a memorial
Each purchase includes one memorial for one person or pet. Memory Grove can be purchased on its own or with a physical product. The price and included features are shown before purchase. Any applicable taxes are included in the price shown at checkout. We currently accept purchases from customers in the United Kingdom; families and friends can access and contribute from other countries where the service is available.
Your purchase is accepted when we send your order acceptance confirmation. We normally send the setup invitation within one working day, and will send it within three full working days of accepting your order and receiving payment and the details needed for setup. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding Scottish public holidays. Where your express request is legally required before we start supply, this timeframe runs from receiving that request, or from the end of the cancellation period if you do not request an early start. We will tell you if missing information delays setup.
The setup invitation currently goes to the purchaser. Transferring Guardianship to another person is not currently available. There is no deadline for activating a purchased memorial; an unused entitlement does not expire through inactivity.
3 Lifetime hosting and included fees
Your purchase includes lifetime hosting with no annual renewal or hosting fees. There is no scheduled expiry date, and the entitlement is not limited by the lifetime of the purchaser or Guardian managing the Memory Grove memorial. Genuine memorial content will not be removed merely because nobody has signed in, visited or added content for a long time.
Lifetime hosting is subject to lawful use, the specific suspension and removal provisions in these terms, and the permanent closure arrangements in section 14. It is not a guarantee that any business or online service can operate forever. Optional extras may have separate prices, but you do not have to buy them to retain your purchased memorial and its included core features.
Memorial pages are free of third-party advertising. Grey Blossom and Memory Grove branding and service links may appear.
4 Guardians and account security
The Guardian is the person responsible for managing a memorial, its content, privacy and contributions. A Guardian must be 18 or older. Purchasers under 18 must involve a parent or legal guardian where needed to make a binding purchase contract. You must be 18 or older to submit any contribution or comment.
Keep your sign-in details secure and your contact email up to date. Tell us promptly if you think someone has accessed your account without permission. You are responsible for activity you authorise, but you are not automatically responsible for unauthorised activity caused by our failure to protect the service.
Transferring Guardianship is a planned feature and is not currently included in the available service. If a Guardian dies, loses capacity or cannot regain access, contact help@greyblossom.com so we can review the circumstances and explain the options available. We may ask for reasonable evidence of identity and authority and will consider competing requests before making a decision.
5 Privacy and visibility
A memorial is public by default. A public memorial can be viewed by anyone, including through its direct link or QR code, and may appear in search engines. Choose the privacy setting that is appropriate before adding sensitive or personal material.
-
Public: anyone can view the memorial.
-
Password-protected: viewing requires the memorial password. Anyone who receives that password may be able to view it.
-
Hidden: only the Guardian can view it. Possessing the link or scanning the QR code does not give others access.
The Guardian separately controls whether others may leave contributions or comments and whether these appear immediately or require approval from the Guardian. Changing visibility does not necessarily remove copies already downloaded, shared, cached or indexed elsewhere. We will take reasonable steps within our control to apply your chosen settings.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information, including account details, contributions, technical data and service communications, and how people can exercise their privacy rights. Agreement to these terms is not consent to marketing. We will not use memorial content in advertising or marketing without separate, explicit permission from the relevant rights holders and any other permission required by law.
6 Creating and contributing to a memorial
Anyone who knew the person or pet may create a memorial. Memorials may also be created for yourself or for a living person or pet. You must use the service respectfully, accurately describe your connection and avoid implying authority or endorsement you do not have. Respect the privacy and legal rights of living people and obtain any permissions required by law.
Visitors aged 18 or older can submit contributions without an account by providing a name. That name may be displayed with the contribution. Do not impersonate someone else or publish private contact details in a contribution. The Guardian may approve, decline or remove contributions in accordance with the memorial's settings and these terms.
7 Content and acceptable use
Content must have a genuine connection with the person or pet being remembered, their life or the memories shared about them. You must own the content or have the rights and permissions needed to upload it and allow it to be used as described in section 9. For example, owning a copy of a song or film does not necessarily give you permission to upload it.
You must not use Memory Grove to:
-
Post unlawful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit or otherwise harmful material, or content that infringes copyright, privacy or other rights.
-
Harass someone, create a deliberately misleading memorial, impersonate another person, or publish personal information without a lawful basis.
-
Advertise, send spam, run a commercial file library, store unrelated backups, or upload unrelated films, television programmes or other material.
-
Upload malicious files, bypass security or upload controls, scrape private content, or disrupt the service or other users.
Images and information about children require particular care. Only share material you are entitled to share, obtain the appropriate permission where required, and avoid unnecessary identifying or sensitive details. A memorial about a child is allowed, subject to these protections.
8 Unlimited uploads and technical limits
You can add an unlimited number of photos, video clips, stories and memories for personal memorial use, provided they relate to the person or pet being remembered. Each file must meet the supported formats, individual file-size limits and video-duration limits shown in the uploader and the information provided before purchase. Unlimited uploads does not mean unrestricted file sizes, video lengths or use as a general file-storage service.
We may resize images, encode video or otherwise process files as reasonably needed for secure storage, display and playback. Keep your original files if you need their original resolution or format. We will not use technical processing to change the meaning of your content.
Uploads must comply with the content rules in section 7. You must not use the memorial to store unrelated files, distribute commercial films or other material without the necessary rights, or interfere with the performance or security of the service. A large collection of genuine memorial content, or a long period of inactivity, does not by itself amount to misuse.
If an upload or use of the service breaches these rules or causes a technical problem, we may reject the file or restrict further uploads. We will normally explain the issue to the Guardian and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it, for example by reducing a file's size, shortening a clip or removing unrelated content. We will use proportionate measures; immediate protective action is possible under section 11. We will not apply a hidden total storage allowance or charge an undisclosed storage fee. Changes to technical limits are subject to section 14 and your legal rights.
9 Ownership and permission to operate the service
You retain ownership of your content. By uploading it, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, store, copy, back up, technically process and display it to provide, maintain and secure Memory Grove in line with the memorial's settings. We may allow our service providers to do this only on our behalf. This permission does not allow unrelated commercial exploitation or marketing use.
The permission continues while we provide the memorial and, after removal, only as needed for lawful retention, resolving disputes and the ordinary removal of backup copies. It does not override data protection rights. Our software, designs and branding remain ours or our licensors'. You may use them as part of the service, but may not copy or resell the platform.
10 Downloading and keeping copies
The Guardian can download a copy of memorial content free of charge at any time, not only when the service closes. The download contains content in the forms held by the service; it does not promise original camera files or reproduce every interactive feature. If you have difficulty downloading, contact help@greyblossom.com.
We recommend keeping your own copies of important photographs, videos and writing. Memory Grove is a remembrance service rather than a sole archive of original files.
11 Removal and disputes
A Guardian can request deletion of the memorial by emailing help@greyblossom.com. We will check the requester's identity and authority before acting. Deletion removes the memorial and contributions attached to it from the live service, including content submitted by other people. Download anything you wish to keep first. Removing an account does not automatically authorise removal of a memorial managed by someone else.
Contributors and other affected people can contact us to request removal of particular content or report a privacy, copyright or other concern. Give us the memorial link, identify the content and explain the issue. We may ask for proportionate evidence. The handling of personal information retained after deletion is explained in our Privacy Policy and remains subject to legal requirements.
If a close family member, a living memorial subject, a pet's owner or another affected person raises a credible objection, we may temporarily hide the memorial or disputed content while reviewing it. We will consider identity, authority, the wishes of the person concerned and relevant family members, the rights involved and any evidence supplied. Possible outcomes include restoring content or removing all or part of the memorial.
We can immediately hide or remove unlawful, harmful or rights-infringing content, or restrict access to address a security risk or comply with law. Otherwise we will normally explain our concerns and allow a reasonable opportunity to respond or correct a breach. We may end access for a serious breach or a repeated material breach that has not been remedied. Action will be proportionate and directed at the affected content or memorial where possible.
We will explain a decision unless the law or a genuine safety or security concern prevents us. You can ask us to review it through help@greyblossom.com. Our decision does not prevent anyone seeking a legal remedy. Any refund due will be assessed under your statutory rights; these terms do not impose automatic forfeiture of all payments.
12 Availability and QR links
We will provide Memory Grove with reasonable care and skill. Access may be interrupted for maintenance, security work or technical faults. We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and restore the service, and give advance notice of planned significant interruptions where reasonably possible. We do not promise uninterrupted access or compatibility with every device or browser.
You need an internet connection and a compatible, up-to-date browser. Hidden or password-protected settings also apply when a memorial is reached through a QR code. If we move the platform, we will maintain the routing of existing Grey Blossom QR codes to the correct memorial without requiring replacement solely because of the move. Digital hosting does not include replacement of a lost, damaged or worn physical item; your rights concerning that item remain unaffected.
13 Cancellation refunds and your legal rights
For a standalone Memory Grove purchase made online, you normally have 14 days after the day the contract is made to change your mind and cancel without giving a reason. Longer periods apply where the law requires them, including if we have not supplied required cancellation information. Tell us before the deadline by email to help@greyblossom.com or by post to Grey Blossom Ltd, 47 Albert Road, Dundee, Scotland DD5 1AY. You may use the cancellation form below, but do not have to.
We will only start supply within the cancellation period where any legally required express request or consent has been obtained. Sending an invitation, activating a memorial or agreeing to these terms does not by itself waive cancellation rights. Where the law permits a charge for service already provided following an express request and the required information has been given, any deduction will be proportionate to what was actually supplied. We cannot charge you for supply during that period where the legal conditions for doing so were not met.
We will refund amounts due without undue delay and, for a standalone service cancellation, within 14 days after you tell us. Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, and we do not charge a refund fee.
If you buy Memory Grove with a physical product, cancellation rights depend on the contract and what was supplied. Separate shop terms explain returns of physical goods, including any lawful exception for personalised goods. A personalisation exception for a physical item does not by itself establish that all rights concerning Memory Grove are lost. We will apply the legal rights that relate to your particular order.
There is no additional voluntary money-back guarantee. This does not affect rights where the service is faulty, misdescribed, supplied late or otherwise fails to meet the contract. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to have the problem put right, repeat performance, a price reduction or refund, or another legal remedy. Where digital-content rights apply, those rights are also preserved. Contact us promptly so we can investigate and help; we do not impose a shorter legal claim period through these terms.
If you request deletion after the change-of-mind period, deletion alone does not create a refund entitlement. You can still claim any refund or other remedy available because we have failed to meet our obligations.
Optional cancellation form
Complete and send this form only if you wish to cancel your contract. An email containing the same information is sufficient.

14 Changes and permanent closure
We may make reasonable changes to maintain security, comply with law, fix faults or keep the platform compatible with supported technology. We will explain material changes in advance where reasonably possible. We will not use an updated policy to override a specific promise made at purchase without any agreement required by law.
If we propose a change that would materially reduce the purchased service, we will explain the reason and discuss an appropriate solution with affected customers. This may include maintaining an equivalent service or the remedies required by law. Continued use alone will not be treated as acceptance of an otherwise unlawful reduction in your rights.
If Memory Grove must permanently close, we will give Guardians at least 90 days' notice where reasonably possible, using their registered email addresses and a notice on the service. If an urgent legal requirement, insolvency or another event genuinely prevents that period of notice, we will give as much notice as reasonably possible and explain what is happening.
During an orderly closure, we will provide a free downloadable copy of memorial content and reasonable instructions for obtaining it before closure. If technical circumstances prevent normal downloads, we will take reasonable steps to offer an alternative. An export is a copy of content, not a promise to provide a replacement interactive website or hosting with another provider. We will explain when online access and QR destinations will stop working. Closure does not remove any right to a refund or compensation available under law.
If another organisation takes over the service, we may transfer our obligations only where that does not reduce your contractual rights or the protection of your personal information. We will tell affected Guardians about the transfer and their options. We remain responsible for performing our obligations until they are lawfully transferred.
15 Our responsibility
We are not responsible for losses caused solely by matters for which we are not at fault, such as your own internet connection failing or another person lawfully deleting content under your instructions. This does not excuse failures by our service providers for which we remain responsible. We provide Memory Grove for personal remembrance, not business use, and do not accept liability for business losses arising from using it commercially.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your statutory consumer rights, data protection liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
16 Contact complaints and applicable law
Send questions, complaints and requests for review by email to help@greyblossom.com or by post to Grey Blossom Ltd, 47 Albert Road, Dundee, Scotland DD5 1AY. Please give enough information for us to identify the memorial or order and explain the outcome you are seeking. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable time. You do not have to use our complaints process before exercising a legal right.
These terms are governed by Scots law. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, this does not take away mandatory protections that apply in your place of residence. Nothing requires you to use private arbitration or prevents a complaint to a competent regulator.
If a provision cannot lawfully be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply where they can operate fairly. A delay in exercising a right does not mean that right is waived. These terms do not exclude statements or promises that are legally binding on us.
